New Year's Eve 2012 Dinner Menu

four course meal with choices

First course:

  • claret-cranberry soup, tarragon mascarpone
  • tomato-bacon vodka-cream soup, ricotta dumplings & espelette
  • parsnip soup with pistachios and pear
  • warm bowl of yellow corn grits, preserved lemon-green olive salsa

  • Second course:

  • sweet n'sour eggplant, tahini, pomegranate & mint
  • shaved fennel, baby bok choy, ginger vinaigrette
  • mushroom conserva, px sherry vinaigrette
  • roasted shallot custard, apple-endive salad with bacon dressing
  • chicken confit wantans, soy-mint-mascarpone dipping sauce
  • red butterhead, grapefruit & meyer lemon segments, sherry-savoury vinaigrette

  • Third course:

  • seared scallops, yukon gold-goat cheese puree, lemon verbena vinaigrette
  • balsamic bbq quail, daikon slaw, marcona almond-miso butter
  • pork osso buco, smashed new potatoes, maple apples
  • 44 day dry aged steak, cucumbers, salted goat milk caramel
  • mkt fish, curried cauliflower, grape gremolata
  • maple chili tofu, soba noodles with grilled pineapple

  • Fourth course:

  • 85% bittersweet chocolate friand, cassis-cabernet sorbet, white chocolate truffle

    LESS THAN 4 PEOPLE $50/person
    Includes 1 soup, choice of 3 sides, choice of protein (except turkey & beef tenderloin), all the must-haves, and choice of bread pudding or crisp for dessert.  For an additional charge, you may substitute a whole turkey or whole pie (add $10).  (Beef tenderloin available for an additional $10/person.)

    BEFORE YOU ORDER!!
    We estimate 1 quart serves 4 people, and a pound of meat serves 2 people, with NO LEFTOVERS! If you want a little extra for the day after, order a little more.
